Volunteering at the Bet Din
Do you have a few hours to Volunteer?
The Masorti Bet Din is looking for volunteers to help with various activities and events. Volunteering with the Bet Din is an opportunity to meet interesting people from across Europe and to help make a difference on an important day in their lives.
We currently require a female volunteer to help meet and greet candidates on the day of the Bet Din, guide them around the site and to act as witnesses at the Mikva. The Bet Din meets once a month and each session lasts 3-4 hours.
In addition, we require helpers for washing dishes after events being supervised by Masorti Kosher. The work involves loading and unloading the dishwasher, drying, sorting and packing, moving boxes and general organisation. There is a lot of work and it is done by a small team in the shul kitchen. There is a great atmosphere and it is actually quite a bit of fun. The work doesn't always involve heavy lifting and when it does it can be done by a younger member of the team. There is work for all physical abilities. This task is suitable someone who has a few hours to volunteer every now and then without any regular commitment - you sign up for each job if you are available. It may also suit a young person or student looking for some extra pocket money.
We have events once or twice a month and volunteers receive a list of events and sign up if they are available.
